Pretty much looks like the series is over now as Australia are 2-0 up unless there is a miracle or bad weather. No way will England win the last 3 tests based on current evidence and even winning 2-0 over the last 3 to draw the series means Australia retain the ashes.

Another frustration for me is I feel England's bowling has looked more dangerous and England's batters had a chance to really show up the pundits that criticised the bowlers by getting a massive score. I don't think they've lost this game yet though. I was looking forward to Australia being under pressure in their second innings at points yesterday though, now even 250 in this innings sets England a tough target. |

Most definitely not over yet. They are a bowler down, we are *capable* of run chases, and hopefully KP will say something really fucking obvious during one of the intervals. Let’s see.

CricViz says Australia have had harder batting conditions this series. Certainly feels like it this match. twitter.com |

I get that its not over until the fat lady sings. BUT In testing bowling conditions Australia have yet to concede a wicket and have built more runs of a lead. Although England are capable, they havent really shown that in the series so far. Some spells where they batted well, but a tendency to throw wickets away has been costly. If I took my ABE hat I wear for the football into cricket, I would be enjoying this, but for some reasons I count myself as English when I watch the cricket. |

From BBC Text After Jim Maxwell suggested Josh Tongue's name is ripe for a limerick, we got AI on the case... There once was a bowler named Tongue Whose skills on the pitch were not wrong With his pace and his swing He made batters take wing And his Yorkers were deadly and strong We can do better than that can't we? |

No, DRS reverses the decision. Based on this game Tongue stays and Wood replaces someone else if he gets in. |
