Just saw an IPL run out of the non-striker on the first ball of the innings. That is pretty special…

That would be on the first delivery faced. I think this is a titanium one (based on Google)

No, diamond is definitely without facing a ball.

Otherwise it's a golden duck if facing.

Might be a titanium duck if off the first ball of the innings.

Inspired by the Vegan foods Deathmatch thread (don't ask).... where is the loveliest ground you have played or watched?

Played would probably be Bridgetown in Somerset google.co.uk

Watched is probably Wellington (Basin Reserve) in New Zealand. Literally a roundabout in the capital city, but a lovely place to watch from the grassy banks. I didn't get along to Napier apart from visiting the city, but that looked good too.

The other ground in Wellington is known locally as the cake tin - it literally does look like one.

I thought the Hagley Oval in Christchurch was definitely the loveliest - watched the test sat on grass banks and set in a wonderful park (where I did the parkrun earlier in the morning). Like the old days they let you play on the outfield at lunch and bonus the distracting electric boundary advertising boards were not working due to an electrical fault.

Played at so many. Loveliest probably Lanhydrock in Cornwall and Clumber Park
