There is of course a few points about the current county structure, which dies need to change. But Cook, Strauss, Trott, Pietrrsen, Prior were generational players (or better) as far as touring Australia goes, Swann possibly even more so.

Same as every other Ashes inquest that’s changed nothing. Same as every England football post tournament inquest, until they finally realised the whole structure, philosophy and archaic ‘this is how we’ve always done it’ mentality were not fit for purpose. Maybe it needs a couple of 0-4/5 home shreddings to get the message across.
