The equivalent cricket coaching revolution is not yet at the ‘chaps I think we need to look at how we coach young players’ stage yet…..

Given that they don't - clearly don't - rate some of these (Leach and others), a different method is required. The thing is, quirky techniques don't work. Quirky mannerisms is different. You have to be still and you have to play the line of the ball as late as you can - 'under your eyes' as Cook described it.

Set pieces are disproportionately effective and affecting in the international game for example. Probably due to the (lack of) time that can be spent on defending them in training.
