Good stat on TMS - Root has the highest percentage of his team's runs of any batsman in a year where 5 or more tests has been played. Maybe some truth to my Indian friend's joke that England are Root, Anderson, Broad and 8 fielders.

I found that after doing my root blog. Career wise he is 33rd in the all time % of his teams runs. Bradman is top with nearly a quarter.

But yeah would be interesting to see the 2021 data on its own.

Yes, this was 2021 specifically. Bradman's top season was 1930 when he scored 28.5% of Australia's runs.

Need to bowl out India for less than 150.

A chase of 150+ will be tricky - pitch is apparently starting to keep low.

The pitch is slow, no movement off the seam, no real spin, bright sunshine and the ball is not swinging. It's not one for quick scoring, but there is no way a team that bats reasonably well is getting 150 here.
