TRO Testeur dégoûtant
You mean like a Botham's Ashes type of comeback where he resigns, and freed from the burdens of office finds the best of himself again and flays the opposition to turn 1-0 down into 3-1 and everlasting glory.
Possible: BUT HE HAS TO &^%*ING RESIGN FIRST!!!
Come on Alastair, you've been a gilded bird most of your life, do the decent thing, you owe us, please....

Whilst it's hard to disagree with TRO, that would entail agreeing with Piers Morgan. And I'm even more loath to do that.

MS Dhoni's loss ratio far higher than Cooky's - anyone calling for his blood? ... and he is still 3-6 down in tests v England (including today)

Dhoni has won the world cup though - admittedly not test cricket but still an achievement.

Nope, he's not going anywhere!
England's beleaguered captain, reiterated his desire to stay in the job after defeat to India at Lord's extended the team's winless run to ten matches. Cook, who received vocal support from the crowd as he spoke
at the post-match presentations, said he was "desperate to turn things around", as well as giving his backing to Matt Prior as "the best wicketkeeper-batsman in the country" after another difficult Test.

It would be a very brave man at the EECB to ask to change Cooky now methinks. Hopefully they've seen the dire straits the Football version has got into by knee jerking new managers every time we fail miserably - not realising, England just isn't that good anymore....and god forbid we return to the late 80s, 90's when every test defeat was met with what seemed like a new team - just how did Chris Cowdrey captain England again?
