yes, the interview wasn't great, but that seems to be his problem it's all by numbers........

Jordan possibly, he seemed to get jettisoned quite quickly, I imagine that was Moores doing....I suppose we should not foget the whole shebang has changed since last Jan

Jordan might be back yet - his problem was that the selectors wanted Stokes back as soon as he was fit, neither Broad nor Anderson were under consideration for dropping and Plunkett had taken a hatflul of wickets in the previous Test Jordan theoretically should be next up if any of the bowlers get dropped / rested, assuming that we stick with four seamers. The alternative is that we rest / drop one of our seamers and bring in a frontline spinner...

Frontline spinners? Noone English-qualified is currently good enough, so we shouldn't bother. Moeen will improve if bowled.

Cook really needs to be withdrawn from the firing line and I'd go for Key too. Not a long-term replacement, but that's a good thing.

Wicket keeper? I'd like to see Read given a go as we don't particularly need the batting.

Prior's gone, so it's goodbye from him and four byes from Stuart Broad. (I can't claim that is original ;) )

Also, Boycott accuses someone of being stubborn; world's gone mad.

I think there is stubborn, obstinant, pig headedness and Boycott, perhaps we need a new word, Boycottedness.

Can't be too long before Boycs retires (or gets retired) - he's well into his 70s by now...

Boycs is superb, so rude and politcially incorrect - and usually spot on. I think it's time Blowers got hooked - still as barkingly entertaining between deliveries as ever, but when it comes to describing the action he seems to get lost and confused. Sad day, but he's gotta join Captain Calamity and Teflon gloves in the departure lounge.

Moores got the job probably on the back of winning the title with Lancs -but that's a while ago now -his record there - 2011 -won Div 1 championship, 2012 -relegated 2013 -won Div 2 championship -currently second bottom having beaten only Northants (twice) who are rock bottom. The batting last season and so far this season has been brittle at best -despite winning Div 2 which is much easier than the top Div. In 2011 Kerrigan was in top form and they also had Keedy who has since departed.

Despite being a Lancs member I've never been totally convinced by Moores or Mike Watkinson for that matter.
