Five HUNDRED. The two doubles in Sri Lanka hiding a lot of cracks, plus the selection rotation to a small degree.
Scorge Mar 2021 9:38am, 7 Mar 2021 828 posts	0 Scorge i think india are much closer to winning in england than the other way around, but i agree that a green swinging deck will cause them problems. could be quite a few low scoring games. kohli has never looked totally comfortable on them, neither has williamson, only the cheating aussie of the other 'big name' batsmen seems to consistently cope.

We've tended to rely on the Broad/Anderson combo to mask over batting failings. We should have an edge in home conditions seam bowling wise. India significantly better with the bat, and in spin bowling and I think Sharma/Bumrah etc are pretty decent if not quite at the Broad/Anderson levels. The tests are late summer from Aug 4 with the final day of test 5 on Sept 14. So perhaps more spin friendly, and less of the juicy June green toppers by then especially if Summer is a decent one.

That was the game where Botham scored a century (no-one else from either side reached 50) and took 13 wickets. Boycott might as well have stayed at home for that one.
