Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think that's what the scouts are doing to be fair - it's about watching and talking and listening and putting that all together.

Btw - from The Zaltz on twitter:

Anderson career phases:
First 45 Tests (2003-Jan 2010): 156w average 34.8.
Next 46 Tests (May 2010 to end of 2013-14 Ashes): 187w at 27.2.
Last 66 Tests (since 2014 summer): 268w at 21.1.
An extraordinary narrative of personal improvement.

And first time since 2008 apparently that two top order Indian batsmen have been bowled out in the same over.

(Ntini v Ganguly and Laxman in Ahmedabad)

For when you hit cricket withdrawal later in the day

The Ambrose spell looks terrifying. The Cairns one is interesting - I remember the Read dismissal, but I note on that video he bowled it a bit earlier to Habib too (bonus points if you remember that Aftab Habib had indeed two tests....)

Not much Kohli could do when the ball keeps as low as that. Good toss to win this one.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Hectic start to the morning, finally switch on Channel 4 to see a replay of Kohli's stump cartwheeling

I switched on as the 7th wicket went down.

I don’t think I’ve seen a pitch the colour of this one

Soooooo, on the drive in I get Mark Nicholas commentating on a Kohli and Ashwin rear guard. No wickets. Sort out the chaotic start to the work day, switch on the telly at 8 down and manage to miss both wickets. Never mind. Good win that.

Fantastic win for England. Next test on the same ground starting on Friday.

I think the last time we won the first test in India was 1976.

Leach bowled well......Even a blind squirrel finds a nut, as Ex-England captains appear to say.
