Sibbers is an interesting one - of all the openers England have tried, he looks the most likely to have the mental capacity to open and bat a long time. Still not sure his technique is quite test quality though.

Dodgy keeper is my first thought. Some sort of deterrent to make the batsman eschew the scoop shot? ( although I'd place him nearer the boundary if I was setting the field)
