Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Anderson took 3-for in the 1st inns! Can't believe anyone is suggesting dropping him!

Wood was statistically the least effective.

But I still have doubts about archer in test cricket. He bowls (and England bowl in general) too short.

Until they pitch the ball up, they will struggle.

But the main failing was not the bowling, but the batting. Too few runs scored.

Ditch Tuffers?? Heresy!

Sky commentary at one point was Bish and Mikey Holding. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to two well informed and humble guys give their opinion on the game and life in general.

Talking of Sky commentators, what about Athers and Rob Key reading out the club cricket news on Saturday afternoon?

(I've just realised that I have an irrational dislike of Rob Key because every time I see his name I think of Richard Keys)

If the new dawn is Wood and Archer, then they should open the bowling together to see how it works. Broad has been our best bowler over the past year, in that time Anderson has been injured, 3 times now maybe, lost count, so I think he was very unlucky, also given that Wood is injury prone, and Archer has been out.

They (the selectors or Smith more likely) is unlikely to drop Anderson at Old Trafford. The only change will be Denly for the knackers yard. Permanently, a bit of shame as he has worked hard and tried his best.

I would think England will play better next game, could be a very close again, and a very good series.

I think Broad was very unlucky given the others' records, both injury and Test.

Agree, Denly has probably had his time. Who knows if he would have kicked onif a Test best 95 had turned into 100.

We need to talk about Jos. He's not the best keeper and X factor players do still need to deliver...
