Siddle decision odd to me, a ‘Headingley’ bowler, and continually ignoring Starc. And an unforced batting change on top of the Smith change. Bit of the old tinkerman about them, hope it backfires!
But I think the Urn will be retained by lunch Sunday.

I think it will work out ok. He's old.
There is a finger of rain extending back to Manchester. I can tell you it is pissing down here just the other side of the Pennines. There will be no play for a couple of hours.
Root's call at the toss was fine given that they would be batting fairly soon, now they won't play much before 3 or 4, maybe now even then. Aussies could get a nice dry flat pitch tomorrow, after an hour or two's play.
Aussie win.
Announcement that play will start just after 12. I can't see then looking out of my window.

Yes, get the feeling we’ll only get 30-40 overs at them at best and they’ll get away from us tomorrow in fine conditions on a road. Looks like Root is an unlucky General, as well as a crap one.
