Think that was truly one of my great memories of the last series in Oz, a once feared fast bowler now a broken shell of a man, with the entire terrace hehind him swaying left and right on unision to that song. Magic.
Was tempeted to sing it when i went to the 4th Test at Chester-le-Street. However was sitting on the Members' Balcony and we Durham members are polite towards our Colonial Cousins.
I'm convinced Tremlett will get the gig over Rankin and Finn. In the Sunday Times the columnists were writing negatively about the latter two whilst never mentioning Tremlett. He'll be a defensive pick too.
Yes, that seemed to be the consensus earlier today - management think the pitch will be a "belter" and that Finn or Rankin might go for too many runs, whereas Tremlett has been tidier, particularly more recently. Sadly, I think that might be the story of the series. Bowling that is "tidy" rather than destructive, good pitches and both batting sides in form, whcih just means lots of runs and not many results.
