Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’ve had all the jabs I’ve been able to get (last one in October last year) and it hasn’t stopped me getting it now. Of course I don’t know how much worse it would be if I wasn’t jabbed

Oh yes I know but it makes it less bad (on the average). I was vaccinated as far as authorised for my two episodes (in fact slightly more than authorised, we managed to blag some shots as "carers" which was possibly stretching the rules a little but at that point there was no commercial alternative).

I got my Spring Booster last week (I'm immunosupressed).

I asked if my husband could pay for one - like he did in October, but she said they weren't doing any private vaccinations this time.

Tested negative after only 5 days :) The jabs do work then. I wasn’t ill, just uncomfortable really with a streaming nose, sore throat etc. Glad it’s over and no one else in my household got it

Coming up to twelve months of having been on medication to alleviate the symptoms of long COVID.(Diagnosed via heart scan, exercise stress test etc).Minimal progress in respect of being able to run continuously for more than forty seconds. It's taken three months to get from 10 seconds to forty with walking between efforts! (Pre COVID two hours was typical for a long run!)Had all the jabs and another due soon (I'm 75) but also had COVID three times and pretty unwell each time. Without the jab goodness knows how I might have been.

Sorry to hear how it's affected you steve45. Hope things improve very soon.

I'm immunosuppressed and got covid for the very first time last year. Was eligible for anti-virals, which were prescribed. It did however, leave me with a chronic cough and COPD. Due for my jag next week.
I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia during lockdown, so since 2020, my running has gone to pot for many reasons. I'm really hoping I can get on the road to some kind of long distance running again in the not too distant future.
