It's not nimbyism, when people are dying, but I've seen your total disregard for any facts on other threads.

And I see the violence at the beaches is not reported in the same manner as the violence at the BLM rallies. But I suppose that suits the racist morons who think it is okay to spend a day at the beach and putting others at risk.

Am I being nasty? Probably, but your thinly veiled racist and bigoted bile is utterly obnoxious. That kind of racist bigoted behaviour is far worse that overt racism in my view as it is the drip, drip of bigoted views that is now supposedly acceptable as a form of debate. How low the bar is set.

I can understand that a lot of people want a change of scene. It's the behaviour that seems to be accompanying the activity that I don't understand. It isn't limited to seaside areas or tourist spots either. Our town council parks staff are having to clear up loads of rubbish left from gatherings.

What I am noticing is a bit more news of cases rising in other countries, including European countries. For weeks I have found the sparse reporting from around the world frustrating, but the increase in bad news around the world is disturbing.

Agree Doc, there does seem to be a shortage of reporting from elsewhere and even on new outbreaks and lockdowns it's less than it could be.

Litter seems to be a big problem everywhere - even in our non-descript not even a village, nothing to see here - I'm picking up bottles, cans and wrappers on every dog walk.

At the start of this it seemed that "people" were taking more care of eachother and the environment - now it seems worse than ever :(

I agree with the mess of litter being left after such visits to parks, take away places etc...there really is no need. If if the council has been slow to empty street bins take your shit home and put it in your bin.

Mind you the council's have a lot to answer for - don't know about other areas but out grass verges and the like are an eyesore ;-( - they are badly needing cut

You have a point LG - garden waste collections suspended, tidy tips closed, random changes to waste collections, grass verges and green not cut - everywhere looks a mess so maybe the temptation to add to that mess is greater than the responsible feeling of taking your rubbish home
