Exactly I’m sure I read a news article that 2000 positive tests in Scotland were linked to football. Sounds very like the decision to let Cheltenham go ahead last year. But this is why so many people I know who are sensible level beaded and have given up on covid rules. I went to the England Sri Lanka international, we had to prove 2 jabs or a LFT negative test. They barely glanced at our covid pass. Then England tram are isolating due to having 5 (I think) positive cases seriously! |

That was basically an instruction by the Express on how to get your way into Wembley without a proper test.

Abs it’s not just the ground the pubs ip and down the country people dancing about hugging INDOORS FFS makes me so angry. I suspect this may be why restrictions are being lifted not many would entertain being holed up when footie fans are taking the p!ss |

Strange how no one is moaning about a full Wimbledon or Grand Prix. I think I'll stay off here for a while. |

To be fair, the government decided that 60k fans could attend. You can't blame the fans for that.

I think the football related interaction is a bit more than the others, Hunkyteddy. Not so many Wimbledon house parties or rammed pubs for F1.

Hopefully the theatres open again soon cause it can't be any worse than sitting at Wimbledon, Wembley or wherever but a lot of us are still being made to wait.

I've seen two notices locally for walk in Pfizer first jabs to anyone over 18 this week, but also stating no second jabs, must book eight week gap. This guy seems to be the best source of info for how vaccine supplies are looking: twitter.com Some anecdotal evidence (including a doctor on R4 earlier today) saying Pfizer stocks are low. Which all fits with the bizarre explanation given by government/JCVI as to why we wouldn't offer jab to all 12-17 year olds that want it. We were supposed to have 60M doses of Novavax being produced in England, but seems to be still no word on approval/production. Someone put in a FOI request a few weeks ago to ask what the situation was, the response is a bit comical: gov.uk |
