*update*

I had a *visit from Aunto Flo* last weekend while in Nottingham running the Robin Hood Half!
I guess my body went thru the same kinda thing as ndeller, I'm not gonna restart a new pill pack and wait and see how regular/irregular I am without it.

Gymfreak- multiple periods in a month must be draining, hope you can sort it out soon

I've been on cerazette for about 3 months now and I seem to be getting on really well with it. The only thing I've noticed in the past few weeks is that I seem to be getting a few spots. Now I've always had oily skin but my spots have been more or less under control for years. Now I seem to have a small patch next to my nose that actually feels more like rosacea*. Has anyone else had skin problems with cerazette or is it just coincidence?

*based on no medical knowledge whatsoever other but I used to work with someone who had it. And I googled it too...

Hey not sure if anyone can help?

I think im on cerazette (at work so can't remember) and have been for a year or two but having started with no periods at all they have gradually build up to being most months again until now when my current 1 doesn't want to stop! Its not been overly heavy but its showing no signs of stopping (after 12 days) not sure if this is something i need to get checked out or if i need to just keep an eye on?

Have been feeling fairly flat and sluggish so not sure if this has anything to do with it?

The injection has made me put on weight, that won't shift, doesn't matter how much I run or how sensible my diet. I've been on it for two and a half years now and this year, the inability to lose weight has been really depressing. I didn't have this in the first year though. I've also found I easily get quite depressed now, which I can only attribute to the injection too. Again, this wasn't something I encountered for the first year on it. I'm off to the Doctors next week, to see what else can be recommended.

So the fact that I'm suddenly a steady 4-5lbs heavier since the Depo despite no changes to training or eating might not be all my imagniation? Why hadn't my GP *ever* heard of this phenomenon when I specifically asked if that could be a reason?!

Jubear - perhaps your GP doesn't have access to Google? The average weight gain over one year of use is 5lbs, second year 8lb. I've been keeping a food diary since June, and that coupled with my running log, on calorie burn and deficit, at a rough guess, I should have lost 1.5 stone. I've lost nothing, not a pound. I've had my thyroid tested, looks like this can be the only other explanation. Just wish someone had told me that I will gain weight and I won't be able to lose it on the depo.

well had a boost of depo back in October when after 3periods in 6weeks I couldn't hack it any more! had a fairly decent period at the end of this depo run so fingers crossed we have a little more regulation! It didn't help that at the time I got the 3periods in 6weeks I was in the last few weeks of getting to a half marathon abd had been put on a new epilepsy drug....Specialist nurse thinks it was the E drug that messed things up....so we shall see GP now wants to see what my body decides to do...with the mention of the pill to try to regulate my pattern.....problem being my seizures are cyclic with my hormones so double hell each month!
