I'm only a grid of 2 currently - would be interesting to see what the larger numbers are, #checksforgridleaderboard

Hmm- I was hoping this might compensate for being increasingly under seige but it won't.

Mine’s gone up to 5 now so guess the code is fixed or else it was just taking a while running through everyone.

I enjoy the game, but:

1. Can never get a grid of three from home due to the sea being deep and cold.
2. Do not particularly want to move 'home' to some random spot in rural Morayshire just to up the score.

Is it beyond the Fetch number crunching mice to calculate the largest grid and diamond within the lawn wherever it is, mark it's centre and score accordingly?

This would also assist with squares that are truly inaccessible due to terrain (for me), or trespass laws (for many on here I imagine).

Oranj I'm stuck at 11 x 11 on Veloviewer too; farmland accessibility scuppers it. I cover a lot on my gravel bike but unless I trespass it's stuck.

The estates around here are not big enough to contain inaccessible squares, apart from Kentchurch but I work for them so have access 😎
Terrain wise, I haven't encountered any inaccessible squares either but the sea would be an issue!

Picking the highest scoring grid/diamond wouldn't work very well as it would be a moving feast of grids/diamonds as people's lawns evolved. It would also make managing your levels potentially easier as you would only need to expand in one direction to increase levels, rather than in all directions with a fixed home point. It would probably negate the gameplay too, as it would introduce far more variables between players.

Maybe it's time to ask Santa for a kayak? ;-)

It would just save some of us moving our home squares to random bits of the map which are not home.

I currently have visited just about all the squares on my island. I currently have grid level 1. In order to get level 2 I would need to move the home square to the middle of the island and then go quite far out to sea to get 3 squares (2 on se corner, 1 at sw corner). πŸ˜‚
