Of course, if the (conquercise) game means nothing, then there's a "Leave the game" button that might be the solution to the problem
Zwift files ought to be treated the same as turbo, or wattbike etc. training log entries. Or running on a treadmill for that matter. Obviously.

I don't care about about how many times I conquer a cell in the fictional place of Watopia, I like that, (changing games) with Fetchpoint; I can look a the fair isle of Watopia and choose a route to do where I could chase flowers, or gems, or bugs and give what is a dull way to train a reason for training. Zwift is a long step forward from sitting in a garage on a turbo, at least with Zwift there is something on screen to chase. With FIT files the 2 games I believe are inseperably linked.
The output of me recording all my training in one location is that I get a record of my *ehem* performance and have an incentive not to decline into a sedentary lifestyle. because I am trying really fucking hard not to give up every form of exercise.
PtB, I meant by 'means nothing' as in there are no prizes to be won. Just a simple 'New Notification' after you have logged your training that you have 'done' or 'achieved' A, B, C. that mental high-5 is the only self affirmation some people need.
Take that away, well, fuck it. Marie Antoinette was right all along.

Frankly, you shouldn't get to take the M40 Junction 3 one - owned by yours truly - without having to experience the feckin' misery of physically being present.

"""With FIT files the 2 games I believe are inseperably linked."""
Do you mean that if you play Fetchpoint you have to also play Conquercise? Because that's not true - and that's what I was attempting to say in my first sentence. Conquercise is an opt-in game, and if you're in it then it's because you've opted in at some point.
And definitely not that folk should stop logging training, or flounce. No way - we love you Ted.
Peace be with you, Beef.

Both games I (have) play(ed) in the real world. I haven't trained outside since August, it's that bad for me.
My Conquercise footprint, has been built up since the game started. Leaving the game would destroy that, I don't want to do that? That's how they are linked IMHO, once you have a solid history in both games you are committed.

Ted - how/why would it affect you if there was a way to detect Zwift files and simply have them not count in Conquercise? Of course, it may well be the case that there is no easy way to do it, in which case we just have to live with it.
I don't think anyone cares that much about a handful of zones in the Solomon Islands, but if people can gain zones in London (or e.g. on the Tour de France route) simply by cycling indoors, that seems to undermine the game a bit.

I thought I had explained that.
When Zwift is imported to my training I get a notification that I have "'done' or 'achieved' A, B, C. that mental high-5 is the only self affirmation some people need."
In the case of Conq, it's zones In the case of FPoint it's flowers, bug, jewels
It's a nice feeling when you get it.

I understand the feeling you describe - but I'm happy just to get that from seeing the extra 7 miles (or whatever) in the training log, added to the monthly total, maybe pass someone in the training league - that sort of thing.
But collecting FP points, flowers and whatnot by sitting on a turbo and following a virtual route around London/somewhere, whereas all the other players have to physically visit there to achieve the same does seem a bit off to me.... (I don't play Fetchpoint, and therefore am not affected personally). It'd be even more off if you could *design* your own virtual route - surely that's coming soon, if it's not here already? Can you plot a route out in advance, load it, and then using Google Streetview then basically ride it a la Zwift?
