Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

No, that's just Garmin's usual standard of service. If they want, when they want...

Hah - glad its not just me. I canoed to an island in Loch Lomond to get some zones that nobody else would have.

Obviously I'm not obsessed. I mean its not like I spelled my name in zones....

I actually like the fact that conquercise gives you a reason to run in certain places. Sometimes there's no good reason to pick one route over another and before conquercise I'd just sit there for so long trying to choose that all my running was done in the dark.

I'm not sure who I'm trying to convince.

Haha, that's brilliant loki - just looked at your profile to see the picture with your name in Conquersize zones :-)

I just found out that zones are various widths but all are exactly 1.2 nautical miles from North to South or 72 seconds of latitude.

Yup, Dave. At the equator they are square but as you go North or South they narrow. (Good for me as I work in the Arctic ☺ )

Any idea if you can tell how long you have been in the game for and when points will expire? I am second at the moment in my home square, so have 85 runs for 170 points behind the leader who has 210 points. To overtake I need 105 runs in a year but I don;t know when my 85 runs started.

Philip, I think the points/ownership is on a rolling year basis now.

I think Phil is wondering when the first of 85 will drop off. I don't think there's a way to tell just now, but it's a good suggestion.
