It was contained in a box so I removed it and put it in the fridge, put the box down, turned my back for a second and the box was whisked away to another room by the dog and ripped to shreds before a clearly disappointed dog went back to her bed to sulk because the box hadn't actually contained a turkey by the time she got hold of it......
