She'll cook for 15 even though there will only be 5 of us there and only me with a big appetite. I don't understand why the M-I-L cooks so much food. Surely it can't be that difficult to roughly portion enough for 4 adults and a child?

I'm parkrunning and gymming in the morning (hurrah for 24 hour gyms that open 365 days a year) then taking dad to the pub for lunch, but he'll just fall asleep after that so I might as well just come home rather than sit in his care home watching him snore!
