The Penketh Runner
It's about the same as running from Warrington to Chester.
I had to pull out of last years due to an ankle injury, so i'm not missoug out this year. Especially since the date it is being run on is 9/10/11

Just to add to how busy the 9th October is......Great Yorkshire 10km in Sheffield has been moved from the first weekend of September where it has happily resided for 3 or 4 years to the 9th October !!!

See that Chester's only a relatively small field. Was planning on Chicago on 9 Oct but not sure I can really justify the cost this year so may be looking for a replacement.

I am very tempted. Think it's got to be something like 20 years since I was last in Chester so am long overdue another visit. Could tie it in with a trip to Port Merion which again is long overdue!

Port Merion is ace. I was there last year. Bit of a trek from Chester though (A couple of hours at least)

I did Chester and Port Merion when I had a couple of long weekends in Ruthin in North Wales. Was a coach trip thing so no effort on my part to get to places!
Quite like the idea of having a few days doing the Tommy Tourist bit especially as I now have no other 'proper' holiday plans this year!
