2 good pieces on R4 this morning 1 about steve redgrave cycling in a team to race across the states - wtf and another about a bloke who's swam across the north pole and some lake halfway up everest (to highight climate change, not because he's some ex SAS nutjob) - anyway, not suggesting I do anything or will do anything that extreme but the point that came over was pushing your self.
otherwise you just as well give up and wear a anorak (no offense to anorak wearers)

Jono - in similar vein - i read a little run round the world- rosie swale pope - amazing, pushing to extreme , and one of us- ie runs in our races , & several of us chatted with her during Rhayader 20, apologies if already seen - i think others were supporting her 26 in 26days !

Hello, *looks embarrassed*, really nothing to see here..... I'm just an ordinary runner who decided to do lots of marathons and am lucky enough that my biomechanics are up to it. Thank you for your lovely comments, you made me blush....

I think the biomechanics can give you a head start in that you can get higher mileage done without injury. Sadly doesn't help you run any quicker......
