Got to vet at 8:45pm for 9pm appointment. 2 emergencies in so had to wait, plus 3 waiting before me, so at 10:05pm a nurse asks if it's me blocking her car in. I said Yes and go to move it. She tells me she feels Spike is much improved and that he's standing and sitting OK, drinking plenty. So I ask if he's eaten. "Oh no", we gave him some sardines and he didn't touch them. Errrrrm, that's because he will ONLY eat cat food. I tell reception girl, she tells Vet, he calls me through to see Spike. He's looking like he smoked all the crack, but gets up and has a fuss and starts purring. The vet said that they will try him on cat food and see how he is overnight. He last ate on Friday morning. I was worse than him after my chest surgery. I couldn't have him put to sleep whilst I wasn't sure if his lethargy was down to having not eaten for nearly 4 days. What would you do?
