The Pin Lady Nov 2021 8:10am, 10 Nov 2021 707 posts	0 The Pin Lady Pepper is fast asleep having spent the night out at the local Takeaway (neighbours wall over the road. Always stacked with tasty mice!) 1/2 a mouse and remains of another one left on the dining room step for me this morning! She wasn't best pleased when I wouldn't let her into the rest of the house last night - she had a mouse in her mouth! (Still hasn't learnt the rules - mouse = no access to the rest of the house.)

The decision was made easy by the vet who said that they could treat the urine infection, and make her comfortable in the short term but there were some kidney/thyroid symptoms that would mean a hefty treatment plan with no guarantees given her age.... I cried some ugly tears, and we had a very long and sensitive goodbye. The vets were ace, so kind....... (a lot of guilt i guess for not taking her to the vet sooner.) Losing one pet is sad, losing two is bloody sad and careless!
