Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We were recommended 1 per cat plus 1 spare by Cats Protection. It was litter tray city at ours (3 trays) but they seemed to have a system of one for wees and one for poos and one only used if the others didn't meet their exacting standards. If there's more than one wee in a tray we are very much told to sort it. We started putting the less used tray outside when they were out to encourage going in one area in the garden and forgot to bring the tray in one evening. No mishaps or dramas so we're down to 2 trays now. We may go up to 3 again in winter when they're indoors more.

Not loving mine today after an unexpected, decapitated and dismembered delivery

They, mind you, are out in the garden playing chases having the time of their loves

Our fault really. Bib brought it in, we tried to get it out from under a bedside table and it ran down the back of the wardrobe. Going to seal the room and trap in there I think.

An empty Pringles tube with crumbled up biscuit in it is my usual way to coax out miceโ€ฆ

We have traps (we used to live near a train line so are all prepped for human rodent catching)

Just need to be extra sure the cats can't get in

I play tag with Lasya!
I remove the furniture the mouse is under and she jumps on it, i pick her up, mouse and all, and put her outside.
Or poke under the furniture with a stick, mouse escapes, Lasya pounces.
Or: Lasya keeps the mouse in the corner under a stool while I grab it with the leather fire glove.
