With our duo, Trudy (younger) brings the odd mouse / bird back to the garden alive, then Mabel takes over. They don’t seem interested in eating the critter that has been caught, just playing with it.
We did manage to save / release one of the mousey victims, it played dead but wasn’t!

Peggý used to bring in snacks for Pascal and leave them outside the door of the room he was kept in at night. And by snack I mean thrushes that were bigger than him.
