When I was a child my mother once put a plate of pieces of steak and kidney on the kitchen worktop to defrost, for dinner later. Then we went out for the day. We thought the cat was out. It wasn't ... When we got back we found the cat on the sofa, very contented with a slightly swollen belly. The plate was spotless.

'Nny used to love supernoodles.
I remember the incredible growl/song he did when I first gave him a bit of roast chicken, I think it was the happiest day of his life.

I always have to shed a bit of grated cheese from my sandwich for Moon. Last night he had some crispy bacon. I wasn't quite as gracious at sharing that as I am about cheese. 😆

Our old cat loved chips. I gave him one as a joke when he pestered us as we had fish and chips. Then every time we got fish and chips from then on, he demanded a share!

Our two seem to show great interest in anything containing ham, and also I can’t leave a cereal bowl unattended or Mabel will be trying to slurp the contents.
In other news had to wash and trim poor little Trudy on Sat, long story but she caught the edge of some fly paper and came running in to the house with it still attached - we had to remove it and the (thankfully non toxic) gunk.
She was remarkably calm and sat on my lap, let us soap and rinse and cut out the still sticky bits - we didn’t want her trying to groom it out. She looks a bit moth eaten on the back leg but she’s ok.

Before he became a proper cat and learnt how to catch live animals, Henky would often bring us back empty crisp or sandwich packets. Then an empty Mr Kipling box. That progressed to a huge bit of pork crackling he had obviously stolen from someone's kitchen (still warm). Then a dead goldfish he had dug up from someone's garden. Then he was able to catch bloody grey squirrels!
