GlennR - so they have the technology to see light from space, but they don't have the technology or brains to work out how to provide light for a pavement that doesn't illuminate the sky, or indeed the space to park your cars nearer to the office.

C-Block at it's finest...

Are they not aware of the brain power that exists on the other side of Madingley road to them ? In particular The Civil Engineering department ?!?!?!?

[We have streetlights that fail to illuminate the road to any meaningful degree and yet are bright enough to require me to add blackout curtaining to our spare bedroom!]

We have streetlights which illuminate the street to make it ok to run on (if no cars) but which leave the pavements in deepest blackness so I choose not even to walk on those if it's been raining. Puddles are literally (and I mean that literally) undetectable to the eye. And I also have to close the curtains carefully or one shines into my eyes as I try to sleep.
