For our Finance Division, of which I am part, we have a pretty straightforward two days a week in the office, more of a maximum than a minimum. However, it doesn't really work, since we can end up in the office having to conduct Teams meetings in a meeting room. It would be ok if our days in the office were flexible, but they are not, since e.g. I, a Wednesday and Thursday person, share a desk with a Monday and Tuesday person, so I can't just turn up when needed.

We've got about 50% of the number of desks we had pre pandemic. Plus everyone is encouraged to do 3 days out of 5 in the office! You can see the flaw in the maths....

Fortunately most people are ignoring the encouragement!

We have the opposite. Before covid we were about 100 people in an office block with 300 capacity. We're now down to 70, and most are 3 days in the office and 2 wfh. The place is a ghost ship

Dear all

The First phase of scaffolding is now complete with a tunnel over the ramp to cobble court.
We have now commenced the second stage scaffold in the Senate house yard . The senate
house passage gate will remain open via a fenced corridor with signage.

The pavement project will take a break at the end of next week and we will be able to reopen
The Ryder and Amie’s gate.

The Combination room will close Friday 26th of August for the duration of the project.

Best Wishes

[No, although given that our meeting rooms are called Twix and Wispa, it could have been one of those. Ice cream van isn't coming. One of the few things I miss about going into the office.]
