Reporting a near miss: guidance for officers and staff
Don’t let your near miss today, become someone else’s accident tomorrow.
Workplace near misses may take many forms.
It is a near miss only if someone could have been injured but injury was avoided. If there is an actual injury then it is a hurt at work incident. Both must be reported.
Near misses must be reported to prevent injury occurring to others in the workplace.
Do not let your near miss today, become someone else’s accident tomorrow.

I'm troubled by the comma in the last sentence.

‘Hurt at work incident’ sounds somehow very childlike.

Hi there
You are receiving this email as you will soon be coded to [BigCo] London in COUPA T&E (BU 23003). Some of the changes are still pending on the system side and as a result some of you may still at this time show as 13501. When these changes do update in COUPA, you will notice the currency of your T&E will be USD. This is due to the fact that this entity has a USD currency. It also means that any cash expenses you enter will be converted and paid to you in USD. This is a system limitation and cannot be changed.
We discussed with Finance and agreed that corporate cards are the solution. Any of you who did not already have cards should have received an email to get a card. Please ensure you complete the necessary application so we can get your cards issued as soon as possible (see forms attached). As these are corporate paid, it will eliminate any fx impact to you. Please ensure you therefore utilize your corporate card for all your business expenses.

If anyone sends me an email starting "Hi there" and expects me to continue reading they are oh so very much mistaken.

[Genuine question - what's wrong with "Hi there..." as an opener to a mass email?
I don't get Maclennane's URL one above - what context was that mis-written in? G ]

It was an email from an SEO manager, who wants me to stop looking too closely at what he does, so uses a miasma of jargon and mis-spelling to worry me so I go away
possibly not in the spirit of the thread.
