Good afternoon,

I have been informed that there is a fault on the buildings fire detection system and alarm, the fault is on the main panel, an engineer has attended site and a new part to fix the fault is on order.

In the meantime Building Management have had to revert to a primitive form of informing everyone if there’s a fire detected in the building. Members of the estate security team have been deployed to each tenants floor, they all have a radio and should a fire be detected they will go through the floors shouting FIRE, FIRE, FIRE at this point ALL staff should evacuate as normal.

Security Officers are on site from 07:00 until 19:00, after 19:00 security will patrol as normal, it is therefore advised that colleagues are only on site during the hours that a security guard is in attendance (07:00 – 19:00)

I will keep you updated on the repair to the system, if you have any questions in the meantime please feel free to contact me.

Thank you or your cooperation.

Dear Colleagues,

Due to the current high level of remote connections to the XXX UK network, users are reporting delays and failures when attempting to connect via the xxx VPN service. To alleviate the capacity pressure on the system, an additional host has been released to act as an overflow service and support an increased number of concurrent sessions.

***Please note that a number of XXX UK services, including Outlook, Teams and O365 services, do not require a VPN connection to access. Do not use the service unless necessary and disconnect your session when not in use.***

Whilst my financial services employer is considering a change-freeze to protect the ops area from any possible further disruption during the corona situation, my local health centre has just sent me the following text:

“Computers at B of A HC are transferring to Windows10 on wed 25.3.20.We'll deal with urgent issues only for a 24hr period while transferring”

Today:
" All fire doors must now be kept closed at all times due to fire regulations. We will do our best to keep the door plates clean, but may I also remind people to wash their hands regularly etc."
