Just about to book my accomodation and lift to the start for this. Hoping sis-in-law still has room for me - thinking the new sprog might have my bedroom...?? Never mind, I'm sure I can manage sleeping on the sofa for the bonus of her fab lift to the start - she used to be a paramedic so knows all the road closures, which ones are open and exactly how to get right to the start avoiding the traffic queues. So all I have left to worry about is visiting the toilet about 20 times and find the right starting pen.

My husband is dropping me off. Is it best to get dropped off near the start then he goes and parks at the finish? How near to the start can you actually get?

No you can get lots closer, will quiz sis-in-law. Don't want to give her secrets away though - or I might get stuck in traffic!! The finish is bedlam though!! I have a freind who is getting a lift from finish to Whitley Bay (via boat) so I might thumb a lift with them and meet OH there for quicker getaway.

OK, is it better to go straight to the finish and then get the Metro to the start? I am getting a bit worried.

Either will be fine CC - just so long as you do your homework re how to get there and give yourself plenty of time. xx

We used these last time and am using them again this year it's so much easier . They drop my wife off at the finish take me to the start and then take us back to the car afterwards no hassle at all . nirvanaeurope.com |
