Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi Stephen and Steve_A Due to a variety of injuries I have pretty much decided to support my OH rather than run it this year. I won't be too gutted since I have run it three times before. It is better to get well and set my sights on one or another a goal longer away, the first of which could be Edinburgh at the end of May.

Having said that I will still be checking into my airbnb with her on the Friday evening before. It's near the town hall in Cambridge.

The weather forecast is looking a tad warm. I'm hoping for a cooling breeze.

Well I don't know about you lot but I'd melted by mile 11 and had to do a lot of walking. 4.40 and not pretty. I noticed the Med tents were being well used and hope everyone was ok.

Tough for me as well, having missed a lot of training and, in particular, hill training recently. However this was the first run since mid-March that I had started without any discomfort in landing on and pushing off my right leg, so I'm very happy. I just let my legs run how they wanted to in the first few miles and paid for this later but about 4:12 is a great outcome for me, considering that I was struggling to run 3 miles at 12 minute mile pace earlier this week. Hope everyone was OK.

I heard it was hot. Club mate of mine said she died by 18 and had to walk hobble it in. She was well trained too. Sorry to hear it was a toughie. Still want to do it though. Please can you start the Boston Marathon 2018 thread asap?! :-) G
