Finally dragged my lazy @rse to the library and picked up both books. Independence Day looks kind of chunky so I'll start THH first.

Was in the library today so ordered Independence Day. Got the e-book at first. No idea how that works. If it's easy to load it on my Kindle I'll read it there but I also ordered the physical copy. And a Kingsolver too, whilst I was there.

I finished the 3 Body Problem on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Has anyone here read the books? I've heard they're a bit clunky so I wanted to know if anyone thinks they're worth attempting. I do read a lot of Sci-Fi but it needs to be of a certain standard ;-)

I read the first one and found it a real struggle. The science was interesting but the storytelling was very poor

Independence Day requested from the library.

That's the trouble with SF, - both the science and the fiction need to be good.
