Yes, it's a comic pastiche type thing based on a radio series (which I'm not familiar with). It was pretty funny but rather samey. Lots of fun had at the expense of Victorian fiction.

Because The Peculiar Memories of Thomas Penman is not on the Kindle, I've got the Simon Mayo Drivetime book from the other night, The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman. Not something I'd normally go for, but it sounded interesting on the radio.
