Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I didn't enjoy descending Scafell Pike in perfect conditions during the OCT and our recce. His first effort sounded just a tad worse!!!

If I ever get round to thinking more about attempting one, my motivation seems to have landed on the exact opposite! (though the window for such will only diminish)

I've nothing but utter admiration for Finlay even thinking of this never mind completing. And so soon after attempt 1 to boot.

Absolutely awesome, but of a superman

(Saw a random pic of a head torch running up to Moot Hall earlier and wondered what it was)

I was talking to a guy from our club last year who was racing Finlay in a local hill race & asked him what it was like having Finlay chase you down & he just shook his head 😂

Conditions were great from Saturday morning onwards for the first time in the mid winter window. It was pretty much perfect and similar to when Kim set the previous record. Amazing to do that time solo, unsupported, off a map and all in the dark. I know it doesn't necessarily fit with the way he does things, but you do wonder what a supported Finlay Wild round (of any of the rounds) could be like!

His 12.59 BG was supported (it was his qualifying round) but IIRC his support struggled to stay with him at times.
