Indeed, it was the 3rd fastest time overall. The record holder (Andy Berry) supported on the very long leg 6 which is about 30 miles long and takes in the big hills in the west. The person with the second fastest time is Paul Nelson (his is the fastest ACW time) and he supported legs 4 and 5 overnight which is when Carol had her worst period. I was also on leg 5; a fantastic trip over the Coniston fells under clear skies and a pink full moon which she wasn't able to fully appreciate! NorthernExile and Bobs were out over the last 2 legs. A great adventure :).

I read somewhere about Andy Berryβs long stint. Wish I could have been there, the WhatsApp stuff and tracker made me very envious. It sounded like great fun being there, as the big rounds usually are. |

You were missed, Dave. I guess I feel the stress of these long rounds when I'm organising, but there are still loads of moments of excitement and fun waiting at changeovers and chatting on ferrying trips, as well as the running. Looking forward to BG season when I get to just turn up and run :).

Amazing photos! πππ Sounds like an awesome adventure πππ Well done support team as well as the phenomenal Carol! The planning and work that goes into the challenges is just mind blowingβ¦. We maybe need to sort out a social fell run at some point??? π |

phal We definitely need to catch up outside a record attempt and have a nice relaxed run with dogs :).

phal We definitely need to catch up outside a record attempt and have a nice relaxed run with dogs :). It will be an amble with our dogs now (arthritis and knee reconstructions and hip dysplasia) , unless we get out the carts to pull them along. |
