not comparable to the Fellsman in any way, shape, or form. Bog standard LDWA fodder. But as it starts about 200 meters from Kinky's family home we've always said we should give it a go, so this year it was a means to an end.

The first half is lovely, Hazel Grove (Stockport) to Peak Forest. And there's a great pub at the end that does a wonderful Sunday roast. I suspect it'll become a regular training run, with a car both ends.

- actually yes. I'd love to be fit and strong enough to do it in three days <\b> and guided would be the only way husband would "let me" try it.

If you can get paid for doing something you love, why not try and turn it into a business?

Sounds like fun...they need to proofread their site. I spotted one typo...(sad but the joys of being in publishing!).test Rosehip - I see what you were trying to do...you're right, the closing tag wasn't quite right. The joys of playing with XML all the time.

DT - On one hand I can see the appeal, but missing out on the making new friends/learning through supporting others aspect that, for me, brought the most enjoyment of the process seems a real shame.

I can see how it would work. Personally I'm glad I did it how I, and most others on here, did it. Doing it like that doesn't take away from how hard it is, it still encourages people to get out and enjoy the fells. I suppose it just offers more opportunities to do it than the traditional way.
