I've got a lot of boring birds too...european robin, blackbird, dunnock, chaffinch, chiff chaff, blue tit. I've just installed Eastern Canada so it will be interesting to see what pops up there.

Swallows, house martins, curlews and lapwings are all fairly common in our garden at this time of year (no swifts yet), but I was very pleased to hear a cuckoo in the woods on Monday.
