Thanks Mrs Jigs - sadly I have a family gathering on 2nd August, but will definitely try to get to Northampton one weekend. A flat, fast, properly measured course sounds very attractive!

Judging by the Bedford Pavillion facebook page, there's some sort of event organised by Mobile Explorers (it's an app to get kids outside, I *think*) running from 10-6. I suspect the set up of that would be clashing in some way.

Last time it was cancelled about 50 people turned up anyway because they hadn't heard. Not saying we should, just a fact.

It's the first weekend of the month so Northampton should have the magic mile and kids run free I think?
