Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

BTW I baked my fluid dough. It's edible but a bit dense. I put a v short video on Instagram to show how wet it was: instagram.com . Oddly enough, it wasn't very sticky.

That looks amazing Paula. The kind of 'faffy' thing I'd never attempt.

It tasted lovely too. Lemon sponge and berry buttercream. It was indeed a faff - I made the buttercream and compote on Saturday and the cake itself early Sunday morning, then assembled and iced it early afternoon. Totally worth every minute.

Lools incredible. How do you think it would hold up to, say, a piece being posted over to me? 😊

[i was expecting one of those 'this is what it should look like/this is mine, which is vaguely the right colour but a starving rat wouldn't eat it', but you nailed it!]

Heinzster - it might have been ok in a double bubble-wrapped envelope inside a bubble-wrapped filled box, which was then bubble-wrapped, but unfortunately we ate it all 😊

I made Dan Lepard's ginger and marmalade cake (but with butter and oatmeal instead of oil and rolled oats).

bakerybits.co.uk

Nothing fancy, but I wanted to use up some of last year's marmalade.

It worked out well, and tastes lovely.
