I will idle_wilder. I'm hoping to find time to bake them around work on Monday and I'm pretty sure my husband will be keen to test them.

That looks good Dave. I wish I could get my husband in to baking.

They look amazing.

Cheese and herb wholemeal scones for lunch. Eaten too quickly for a pic. Cedd again. We think we're heading for a growth spurt. When he gets back to proper intensive training next season I'm farming the lad out.

Made a choc/vanilla marble cake mix but baked in bun cases so I dont need to touch it to slice and Ma and Pa Freak can safely have one (the cakes wont be touched since they went in the oven). Look a bit rustic but should taste ok.

lf - what sport does Cedd do? I'm sure you would wash your hands before slicing a cake and would have washed any container you out it in so there really should be no risk taking baked goods to your parents - I've been taking stuff to my MiL throughout.

I know but the freak in laws are elderly and I fancy keeping them extra safe.

Cedd plays ice hockey (so does Cuthbert but he takes it less seriously). Cedd is rather good. Top points scorer in his div and trialled for North of England side by invitation last year. I'm really missing having lots of riotous visiting hockey kids to bake for.

That too. Better stop the derail.

My starter seems to be bubbling consistently so I might try for a sourdough on Tuesday.
