It was not, as far as I recall, repainted. Shops below, flats above. I used to deliver the local freesheet there. It went on round the corners, as well. Here's the back view: Almost five years since I took that picture. Finishing touches just being put to the regeneration now. Which is has about quarter the built footprint, with twenty fewer businesses. And over sixty council housing units fewer. One of the unseen bits was latterly sheltered housing; then finally used for tenants for whom an onsite security presence was needed. The award btw was for being Scotland's Worst Town Centre 2010. As far as I know, Denny is the only place to have campaigned to win it. As for what has replaced this ... I think I'll pop up tomorrow and take some pictures and let you decide.
