Agree with Lostock Gralam - I feel like I've entered a dystopian future when I drive through there. As a contrast, Fiddlers Ferry power station when approached from the Warrington side is a thing of industrial, symmetrical beauty!

This already has more potential than the most recent deathmatch.

I feel disloyal saying this, being a Merthyr girl and all, but Merthyr Tydfil (even despite attempts at regeneration) has got to be on the list.

Fiddlers Ferry - remember waking up one day and one of the cooling towers had collapsed in the night. I love the Mersey skyline at night when viewed from Frodsham hill, with all the chemical factories, power stations & oil refinery lit up, like a scene from Blade Runner.
Think we've already had Cumbernauld, but Luton & Hemel town centres must prime be candidates . Probably other 1960's new towns too.

Nothing wrong with Luton (or Coventry) that a small thermonuclear device wouldn't fix.
