It is pretty foul, and not improved by recent additions.

Basically they should probably do a Bracknell and raze the whole sorry lot to the ground and rebuild.

Not that I’ve been to Bracknell since they redid it, but the only way was up

Slough looks a lot better than it once did too, last time I was there.
My pet hate is areas which gradually turn into pub free zones and nice Victorian buildings (not quite old enough to be protected) being torn down and replaced by the most fucking awful carbuncle flats which will never be anything other than repulsive to the eye. It’s basically happened everywhere in my town. I don’t think I want to stay here any more as a result. Over the last 20 years the whole area has been destroyed and it makes me sad and cross in equal measure.

I'll see your Farnborough and raise you Aldershot. Bracknell town centre is a vast improvement, I take my Mum to Fenwick for coffee and cake.

Aldershot actually has some ok bits though, unlike Farnborough which is unrelieved ugly.

Agree about your area, Fleecy, I used to work around there 25 years ago. There were some nice pubs but many were in decline. Driving through recently it seems most are now demolished.
