Nice article from Matthew Syed in the Times about Kyrgios, suggesting that his behavior is self sabotage down to a fear of failure. thetimes.co.uk |

Heard a couple of interviews from K saying he was in a bad place before. Even had to be pulled out of a pub at 4am before a centre court match!

He’s always blown hot and cold. Sometimes just gives up and stops playing.

Nadal has withdrawn from the semi final. Unable to serve due to stomach muscle tear.

Delighted for Kyrgious and Jabeur. As for Rybakina, every single player she's beaten so far is/was extremely capable on best form.

Disappointed for Nadal - but at least the consolation if (when?) Norrie loses tomorrow, is a potential powder keg of a men's final. I'm not a huge follower of the women's game, but I've not really heard of Rybakina previously. Ons Jabeur seems to be an awesome lady, so she's got my support for Saturday. I'll be home alone so will be able to enjoy the match without my housemate making disparaging comments. |

It seems really rough on Fritz who almost beat Nadal, for Nadal to just pull out at this stage. I’m not sure I’ve ever known anyone pull out in the second week. Also feel this will make Kyrgios even more smug! Also disappointed for tomorrows centre court crowd who will only get one semifinal. Can Norrie beat Novak? |

Can Norrie beat Novak? He's got the tools to do so, but he'll need to be on his best form, and not let his level dip. Djokovic is so good in best of 5 matches - his match against Sinner is a good example of that. I reckon it'll be Djokovic in 4 sets. Prove me wrong, Mr Norrie. Oh, and ideally can you string it out so that I can catch the end of the match after work... |
