I'd love to give Witcher 3 a go (I only heard good things) but I feel I would lose myself completely to it. I'd probably need an on-screen icon to remind me to shop, eat, sleep, etc
Cheers for the pointers. Another productive day to be had!!

Yeah it's immense. My game time is drastically reduced compared to a few years back, which means it is taking even longer, but you could certainly immerse yourself into the game to the point where the day just vanishes.

Perfect Organism
Witcher 3 is fantastic! I had to shelve it over the summer as the weather was too good to be spending that much time on it, but now that Autumn has arrived it will be getting plugged back in to the computer!

Still haven't put the witcher back on. It will be going back on soon though.
In the meantime I've been playing uncharted 4, which was excellent fun. Highly recommended. Good enough for two playthroughs but then traded it in and used it towards Battlefield 1 which I'm really starting to enjoy after a short adaptation period (getting killed all the time).
I'm also playing Alien:Isolation. It's a survival horror and does an excellent job of recreating the atmosphere of the first film. No dumb-ass cannon fodder aliens here. Just one Perfect Organism on board a space station trying to hunt you down and kill you. It's extremely scary. It can be a little repetitive and can be massively frustrating, but as a total Alien fanboy, I am really, really enjoying it.

I'm just finally finishing off Lego Marvel Avengers - I think this will be my last Lego game as it's just not doing it for me any more.
But I'm not going to help my street cred by considering forking out for World of Final Fantasy. It just looks like a fun JRPG - hideous Chibi-stylings aside...

Been having a quick go on Battlefield 1 past couple of nights. Slowly getting through the single player before attempting online.

All this talk of modern games is making me feel ancient. I bought a MAME Cocktail cabinet recently, and am thoroughly addicted to Bubble Bobble right now.

Civ VI is downloading to my MacBook as I type. Considering that I've only ever devoted more gaming time to the various incarnations of Gran Turismo, to Elite and to Civ V, this is a big thing.

I've heard good things about Civ 6. I don't think my PC is up to the task though
If it helps, Fergus, I regularly go to a place in Bury called Arcade Club - it's retro arcade heaven, with pinball machines, old arcade cabinets, alongside more modern stuff (although it's the old machines that get the most attention). Everything is on free play, so it's just amazing. And I've discovered that I'm awful at arcade gaming. Especially anything involving a light gun!
