Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

SuperDave!
Ok, I have perfect form ;-) but I have this *friend*, we'll call him Dave and he's suddenly started kicking his ankles when he runs.

It's really annoying. Any suggestions on what might be contributing to this and how to solve it through excercises and such like?

Thanks

Possibly weak glutes. For example, weak glute on left will let right hip drop as you swing the leg through. Because it's dropped a bit then as you swing through, the foot bashes into the other (left) ankle.

Wobble board exercises are good.
Also squats on one leg etc.

My "friend" also does this.
My ankles are always a mess.

I mean, his ankles of course.

I've done that before. Not often though! One of my feet just out at an angle so it's probably more strange that I don't do it that often!

Well Pesto-myrrrh-m you will find this of great help to your "friend" :-) If right leg kicks left then it's a weak glute on the left letting right hip drop so right foot contacts left ankle.

I would recommend investing n one of these and using it daily...

James sometimes it only happens when tired but it still points to weakness in glutes. Most folk have weak glutes cos they don't use them enough...
